All three members of Kite continue to work in the music business.Doug Watson
Doug Watson has been bandleader of the orchestra at the Bembridge Costal Resort Hotel since 1985. Recently they were voted "Band of the Year".
Doug has worked with several other Island bands during this period, most notably, Blue Moon.
He is currenly organizing the annual Sharpe, Watson, Roberts Extravaganza. Next year's event will be at Lower Hyde on 12th February 2012. The guest artist will be Andy Skelton.
Tim Marshall
Tim spent many years working for P&O Cruises as a member of the ship's orchestras. He has lost count of the number of times he has gone round the world but he thinks it's 12.
Between leaving Kite and joining P&O, he working in various theatres backing artists such as Matt Monroe and Tommy Cooper.
Tim is now a leading light in CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) and enjoys running. He has completed 10 marathons. He also builds websites. He built this one.On leaving Kite, Andy worked with the Pumphouse Gang and then formed the "New Romantic" band, The Choir.
Andy Skelton
He then moved to London and took up work as a session guitaris/vocalist. It was Andy who provided the vocals for the famous M&M "Candy Man" advertisement.
Andy is currently a member of the aclaimed Abba tribute band FABBA and lives in Herfordshire with his wife Aileen and daughters Holly and Laurie.
